Welcome to EPCOT! It’s a bit of a dreary day with cloudy skies and some drizzling rain, but we’re not going to let that stop us. Between the multiple construction projects and Festival of the Arts, there’s so much happening around the park. Let’s take a look!
We keep checking, but the new Future World East walkway is still not open.
Some construction hedges have been added to obstruct guests’ view from ongoing work.
In MouseGear, there was heaps of new merchandise from the colorful Mickey and Friends collection, including lots of new apparel for adults and kids. You can see all the items in detail by clicking here.
We also found this new white Nike Mickey hat. It’s simple with Mickey’s face embroidered in the center. It retails for $34.99.
Over at the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind construction site, not much visible work was happening. From the noise we heard today though, there seems to be a lot of work going on inside the building.
There were clear signs of work at Test Track, which is currently closed for refurbishment. Panels from the attraction’s outdoor section had been removed, so the track could be worked on.
At the 2D Chalk Art area, there were some familiar faces.
Tiana poses with Prince Naveen in his frog form.
White Rabbit is late for a very important date!
The villains were not forgotten! Captain Hook shows off his hook hand.
We spotted this duct tape covered sign in The Land. We think it may be covering up directions to the elevator or Soarin’ to help with traffic flow right before the escalator.
Over in the France pavilion, awning was being added to one of the structures in the new expansion.
We also unfortunately realized that the new area’s background facade doesn’t work well with the existing cityscape when standing in the parts of the existing pavilion.
In Morocco, citrus fruit from the trees were falling to the ground. Free snack?
At The American Adventure pavilion, lights were added to the sign at Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts and Barbecue. Crew members were working around the barbecue pit, which was surrounded by building materials.
If you bought a bottle of perfume at the Italy pavilion, free engraving was available from 1-7pm.
We spied Mushu and Cri-Kee making trouble outside of the China pavilion. They’re one of the many character decals currently around World Showcase as a part of Festival of the Arts.
That completes our trip around EPCOT. Thanks for following along! Check WDW News Today for all of the latest updates from Walt Disney World.
