PHOTOS: Work Continues on Regal Eagle Smokehouse Outdoor Barbecue Pit, Seating Area, and Walk-Up Windows at EPCOT

Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Smokehouse construction is still underway at EPCOT. The latest park map, featuring the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, lead us to believe we’d be enjoying delicious barbecue by now, but from what we can see, things don’t look quite ready yet. The staircase and seating area is currently closed off and surrounded by planters, but this actually gives us a little better look into what’s going on at Regal Eagle.

It doesn’t smell like barbecue yet, so let’s take a look at what’s happening.

Directly in front of the restaurant, we can see some of the pit area that will house a large smoker, according to the concept art. Poles are visible in several places around the brick wall where lighting fixtures will be installed later.

They appear to be focused on the walk-up windows to the left of the entrance. We can see some tiles have been installed against the wall inside the building, too.

Scissor lifts are being used to add some details along the roof over the walk-up windows.

Liberty Inn signs are piled up off to the side.

We’ll be soaring over EPCOT on a regular basis to check on this delicious new adition to the American Adventure, so stay tuned for more updates and menu reviews when they open. Are you excited to try some of Sam Eagle’s famous barbecue?
