According to reports from local Orlando news station WFTV, a teenager has been arrested in connection to the police manhunt that occurred on Reams Road behind Magic Kingdom yesterday. Yesterday’s police activity in the area, which included multiple police vehicles and helicopters, disrupted cast member transportation to and from Magic Kingdom.
18 year-old Andy Mendez was arrested Wednesday night after abandoning a stolen car near the intersection of Reams and Ficquette Road. Mendez had stolen the car from Orange County and then driven it into Osceola County. Two others fled from the vehicle with Mendez, but so far Mendez has been the only arrest.
This isn’t Mendez’s first brush with law enforcement. Just two weeks ago, the teenager was arrested, alongside four others, for shooting out of a car in the Kissimmee area and ditching firearms out of the car’s window while being pursued by police. In this particular incident, Mendez also abandoned the car and fled, but in Winter Garden.

Cast Members attempting to transit to or from the Magic Kingdom are reporting significant police activity and helicopters throughout the area behind the park, supposedly due to a mass police manhunt after an armed subject.
@WESH not sure what y’all usually do to investigate but there are cops apparently weapons drawn (per our FB page for subdivision) and helicopters all around looking for a supposed armed suspect here on Reams Rd. Staying inside. Trying to search calls online but no confirmations.
