Welcome to the latest update from EPCOT. Today was a day for big changes, with walls going up around the center of Future World (World Celebration). Guests will have to choose left or right (East or West) to start their day.
Thankfully, there are plenty of Cast Members stationed around the construction walls with signs helping to guide you to your destination.
Rope drop procedures will be a little different, with guests lining up on either the East or West pathways.
If you get lost, or just need a little help with Fastpasses or other plans, there are three Guest Experience Team locations around the front of the park.
Inside MouseGear, we found some new socks.
A generic looking “Pizza Planet” hat is available for $27.99.
This sparkly sequin hat is a little more flashy for $27.99.
The water feature isn’t working today at The Seas with Nemo & Friends, so it seems like he’s made another furry friend. This squirrel is enjoying hanging with the seagulls at the entrance of the attraction.
Apparently, Galaxy’s Edge is a little busy this holiday weekend, so these two Loth Cats decided to travel to EPCOT. We love the creativity involved in their tiny outfits!
If you’re visiting the International Festival of the Arts and participating in Figment’s Brush with the Masters, there are alternate prizes. If you don’t like the puzzle, you can get a luggage tag instead. There were two styles available.
Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure is getting ready to turn into Ducktales World Showcase Adventure, so we decided to say our farewells.
And grab a misfortune cookie in China.
There is so much talent around the festival. We always stop and admire the chalk art.
We even got to see a work in progress: Figment!
It’s fun to rope drop World Showcase and see families and children get to throw the Mickey-shaped confetti.
The times guide for the park got us excited for lunch at Regal Eagle, only to be disappointed when we arrived at the American Adventure.
We’re so hungry… please let us in!
Let’s take a look at things from the air. We can see the demolition starting around the center of Future World.
With all the construction walls up around the park, we’re not surprised to see a courtesy wheelchair from Disney’s Hollywood Studios abandoned in the mulch. I hope they eventually found the park entrance.
At least there are plenty of signs.
That’s all for today. It’s been a long day of adventuring around World Showcase with Agent P and navigating new pathways, so we’re gonna get out of here. Stay tuned for more updates from WDWNT!
Do misfortune cookies follow the same formula as fortune cookies? “You will temporarily lose your car keys (in bed).” Ouch.
