Tonight marks the first of many Disney Villains After Hours 2020 nights that will run through July 10th, 2020. The event this year has brought new merchandise, a new parade, and tasty treats themed after several classic Disney villains. We’ve been snacking our way through them and next up is Gaston’s favorite childhood sustenance turned dessert: the Five Dozen Egg Slushy.

When he was a lad, he ate four dozen eggs every morning to help him get large. But now that he’s grown, he eats five dozen eggs, so he’s roughly the size of a barge… and so will we once we have our way with this delicious new slush.

As described, this is not a tub full of raw eggs, but a slushy comprised of frozen custard with brown sugar, topped with whipped cream and garnished with a cinnamon stick. At $5.99, it’s comparable to most frozen drink concoctions in the Magic Kingdom, even the LeFou’s Brew that’s popular here at Gaston’s Tavern.

We were expecting something along the lines of an eggnog slush, but this is more like a thick, custard milkshake, and it’s absolutely amazing.

You get the creamy, milky flavors of the custard, cut by a hint of cinnamon on the back end, which is really pleasant. It’s slightly sweet, but not overly so.

We mentioned LeFou’s earlier, and honestly, we wouldn’t mind if this replaced it as a year-round option. Due to how dense and thick it is, you don’t have to worry as much about it melting and making a mess. You could easily walk around the park for 15 to 20 minutes and still have this fully frozen and intact.

If you’re considering attending Disney Villains After Hours, definitely swing by Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland, because apparently, no one makes milkshakes like him, either.
