A couple of days ago in Tokyo Disneyland, the light poles within the structure for The Happy Ride with Baxmax were lit up on the outside, while the inside remained dark. While this seemed like a large step forward for the ride, we were blown away when we went to check in the ride’s progress today.
We were pleasantly surprised to see our favorite personal heathcare companion smiling back at us! (I mean, look at him, how kawaii is that?)
Staying true to the concept art that was revealed for the ride, it seems each ride vehicle will be pulled by their very own Baymax.
Here we get a close-up shot of the vehicle itself, which is modeled after Baymax’s superhero armor. With a red and purple paint scheme, with a touch of white towards the front of the car, these vehicles are instantly recognizable and I believe Tokyo Disneyland did a great job designing these cars.
The Happy Ride with Baymax is described as a “musical, whip ride” that will swing guests around and around, a la Aliens Swirling Saucers.
While nothing has been confirmed yet, we did find this cart outside of the ride, which we can assume will become a souvenir cart for The Happy Ride with Baymax.
Seeing the ride vehicles installed has us even more excited for this ride. I mean, who wouldn’t want to ride a ride with Baymax?! Tell us what you think of the progress made on this upcoming attraction below and make sure to rate it 1 to 10 on how satisfied you are with your care!
This is a rethemed Alien Swirling Saucer attraction.
Which is a re-themed Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree.
Alien Swirling Saucers isn’t anything too special, but I do feel like the Baymax theme goes a long way toward making the ride seem a lot more charming. Looks like it’ll be good fun!
