With the opening of the highly anticipated Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway less than two weeks away, cast members will have the opportunity to preview the attraction prior to its March 4 opening. You can read our post with the full details of the cast preview by clicking here.
In preparation for the preview, several dozen rolling planters have made an appearance just to the side of the iconic Chinese Theatre, to be utilized for separating park guests from cast members who are getting an early look at the trackless ride.
The planters are bunched together to the immediate right of the theater, the side closest to the Animation Courtyard and Walt Disney Presents.
The group of planters does not appear very large from a distance, however there are more there than meets the eye.
The planters are lined eight rows deep in most spots, and eight columns wide, resulting in over 60 planters being ready for deployment.
The area currently holding the planters is expected to be queue space for the attraction once it opens, as indicated by the post holes spread throughout the pavement.
The planters are expected to be rolled into place after park close tonight as the cast member preview begins tomorrow.
While we hope the planters won’t obstruct the facade of the theater too much, cast member previews beginning are the last significant milestone before the attraction officially opens, so we’re excited for their presence as it signifies the attraction is nearly here for park goers.
Are you a cast member who registered for the preview? Or a Mickey and Minnie fan who’s excited for Runaway Railway to open? Let us know in the comments when you plan to ride it!
