While we were at Epcot today, we noticed a lot of work was being done on the roof of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind! Could this be preparation for new solar panels? We think so!

We saw several workers today on the roof installing tracks for the freshly-repaired (possibly entirely new?) solar panels that we’ve been missing since their removal from the original Universe of Energy pavilion.

With EPCOT so centered around the future and sustainability, and with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind taking over such an iconic ride where renewable energy was the cornerstone, we’re glad to see these returning!

We’re definitely still missing Ellen’s Universe of Energy, but excitement is certainly building for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. What are your thoughts? Will you be braving the crowds when this opens next year? Let us know!
