PHOTOS: Vending Machine Building Takes Shape in Tokyo DisneySea’s Arabian Coast

Last week, some mystery planters turned up between Arabian Coast and Mermaid Lagoon in Tokyo DIsneySea. After a very, very fast construction process, the themed vending machines are almost complete. These are the first vending machines inside Tokyo DisneySea. So, let’s take a look!

It’s a very small area along the walkway, around the area where the mister used to be in the summer.

Construction crews were putting the final touches on the structure yesterday. The machine building is nicely themed to the Arabian Coast architectural style. The drink display, payment, and dispenser areas are under covers while work continues.

A small construction vehicle helps conceal the construction . It appears the opening of this station is imminent. As I said, this are the first vending machines installed within Tokyo DisneySea. Three machines are at Tokyo Disneyland, and several exist just outside the park gates. Perhaps we’ll see more of these and a shift away from drink carts. If they all stay themed, I honestly don’t see a huge problem with this!

I’d expect the vending machine to open sometime this or next week. It looks just about finished! What do you think of adding vending machines to Tokyo DisneySea? Let us know below or on Twitter!
