As construction wraps up over at Tokyo Disneyland’s New Fantasyland expansion, it’s just starting at DisneySea! The magical eighth port of Tokyo DisneySea, Fantasy Springs, has really ramped up on construction. So much so that it’s already going vertical! You can get a great view from the Disney Resort Line in our video below or keep scrolling for pictures. Before we begin, we aren’t exactly sure what goes where, so we’re making our best guesses from the concept art.

From this angle, you can really see how the two expansions butt up against each other. Also, how massive the The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast show building is.

Excavation has begun on what we believe is the Frozen area. This area will feature a mini-Arendelle between the events of Frozen and Frozen II. A boat ride and restaurant in Arendelle’s castle are set for this area. Concept art also suggests Elsa’s castle and the North Mountain will be visible in some form here.

Work continues on digging out the Tokyo Disneyland access road bypass tunnel. This will be the primary route of exit for Guests that drive to the park.

Another pit has been dug, closer to the line itself. Maybe this one has something to do with the hotel?

Lots of general work going on. I can’t wait until we can identify most of these with certainty!

Certainly the most exciting piece of all is already underway, it seems.

That’s right, things have gone vertical in what we believe is the Peter Pan area of the port!

So much so, as a matter of fact, that a possible show building is already jutting into the sky! This attraction is supposedly the most technologically complex of all four attractions, and thus likely needs some extra time for polish. They’ve still got a good three years, and we can’t wait to see what this becomes!

That’s all from Fantasy Springs for right now. It’s so exciting to see construction progress so fast, even if we have to wait until FY2023 for it to open. We’ll be keeping a watchful eye as this project progresses. What are you most excited for in Fantasy Springs? Let us know below or on Twitter!
