There is continuing work being done in Tomorrowland to revert the “New” Tomorrowland look of 1994 back to the classic Tomorrowland feel. The majority of work going on in the land at the moment is centered around re-theming many of the large vertical supports that line the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. Let’s take a look at where progress has taken us today!

Last week, we saw the pillar repainting start at the entrance of Tomorrowland Terrace. This extended to three of the closest pillars. Various days this week, we have seen the addition of one more pillar being worked on and finally today, we see the fifth.

However, it seems like the work going on in the area has finally started to impact the mystique of the fabled Purple Wall.

The Purple Wall is still accessible to guests wanting to travel between Tomorrowland and Main Street, U.S.A. The lighting in the area has been impact by all of the new scaffolding, though. You might have to apply some filters for those Instagram pictures in your brand new lavender Spirit Jersey.

Note the heavy shadows in the area. You might just have to bring a master photographer to direct you to more well-lit areas.

We are sure this work won’t stop anyone from making the pilgrimage to the world famous Purple Wall. Might need to bring a flash this time, though!

We’ll continue to update you on all of the changes happening in and around Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom.
