The Haunted Mansion Still Experiencing Technical Difficulties, Temporarily Closed Once Again at the Magic Kingdom

After four sad, grim-grinning-ghostless days of temporary closure at the Magic Kingdom, The Haunted Mansion reopened briefly to guests over the weekend, but it appears the spirits are at it again.

The attraction is listed as temporarily closed on My Disney Experience, with guests reporting having been evacuated off of the ride.

An earlier video posted to Twitter today shows the maintenance gate of the attraction open, right as guests traversed through the attic scene.

Guests stated that there was an issue with the Doom Buggy ride vehicles late Monday night, which eventually led to an evacuation and the subsequent closure last week. There is no confirmation as to when The Haunted Mansion will reopen again, and guests with FastPasses are being issued replacements.

The original story regarding the initial closure is listed below.

It seems the grim, grinning ghosts of the Magic Kingdom are refusing to come out and socialize, as the famed Haunted Mansion has been plagued with undisclosed technical issues since last night, when guests had to be evacuated from the ride.

The attraction experienced a delayed opening this morning at the Magic Kingdom, and by that, we mean it never opened. At time of publishing, The Haunted Mansion is listed as “Temporarily Closed” on My Disney Experience.

We spoke to Cast Members at the location this morning who informed us that the attraction went down last night and hasn’t been running since. The outlook seemed “grim”, they said, but upon talking to Guest Relations, the closure might take longer than we think. Guest Relations Cast Members stated that the closure would last a total of three days, although that all depends on how quickly ride maintenance crews can get the ride back up and running.

Guests with FastPasses for The Haunted Mansion will likely receive a Multiple Experience FastPass+ in the time that the attraction remains closed.

    1. I doesn’t need a new system, it need to up kept, so much money was dumped into Shanghai, Disney+, and the acquisition of media companies and SWGE the parks have fall into disarray, we see it in all parks, i was at Test track on Saturday, and it just came out of refurb, They did a shotty caulk job on all the supports, they Flex every time a car comes around the track, and kids can get there fingers under this plate as it flexes down. Disney’s prevented maintenance has gone to crap. its just like it used to be.
