Despite the ongoing extended parks closure due to COVID-19, permits are still being filed across property for up and coming projects, like the Play! Pavilion and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT, and even Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge, the newest DVC property coming to Walt Disney World Resort. However, as we’ve seen, maintenance also continues throughout the parks, with topiaries needing trims, and, as evidenced by a recent permit, equipment needing repair. A recent permit has been filed for a “kitchen gas leak repair” inside The Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The permit was filed just earlier this morning by Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, and cites Westbrook Service, a local HVAC, electrical, plumbing & gas services contractor in the Orlando area.

Thankfully, the parks and resorts are fully closed with the exception of essential Cast Members and contractors helping to maintain the parks. Essential Cast Members, like security guards, animal caretakers, and more are now allowed to wear face masks while carrying out their duties.
