Although new reservations are not currently being accepted still, reservations between June 14-21 are allowed to go in and modify their reservations, or else they will be automatically canceled. Payments are still being accepted at this time for existing reservations made.

Currently, reservations with check-ins starting on June 22 and later into 2021 will still need to wait a bit longer to modify their reservations. If you have a reservation between June 22 and July 4, you can keep your current reservation, but keep in mind that the theme parks are still not open and dining options will be limited across property. If you need to modify your reservation at a Disney Resort to a Disney Vacation Club Resort, you will have to pay the difference in price between your existing reservation to the new one.

Walt Disney World originally stated that Disney Vacation Club Resorts and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground would reopen on June 22, as part of their phased reopening. These resorts also include Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Villas, Disney’s Boardwalk Villas, Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Old Key West, Disney’s Riviera Resort, Saratoga Springs, Boulder Ridge Villas and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, and the Disney’s Polynesian Resort Villas and Bungalows.

Other non-Disney Vacation Club Resorts have not stated when they will reopen. Disney was quick to retract their original statement regarding the reopening, announcing that they would be open by July 11 when the theme parks resume operations.

Upon reopening, theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, restaurants, and other offerings may be modified, limited in capacity, and subject to availability or closure. Plans to support required physical distancing as well as enhanced cleaning measures, along with a number of other safety and cleanliness protocols, will be implemented as part of this planned phased reopening.

Continue to follow WDWNT for more information on when the resorts will reopen.
