PHOTOS: Black Spire Outpost Market Reopens at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios with One Party Per Store Rule and Other Social Distancing Features
Bright suns, travelers, and welcome back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Now that the park has officially reopened, travel to Batuu (or Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge), has resumed. We are excited to be back exploring this planet, and couldn’t visit without a trip to Black Spire Outpost Market to stock up on some parts and supplies. Despite being in a galaxy far, far away, we heard that COVID-19 is still a threat to Batuuians, so let’s see what new health and safety measures have been implemented throughout the marketplace.
Outside the entrance to the marketplace, Cast Members equipped with face masks and face shields are on hand to count guests in, and remind them of proper social-distancing protocols. Although the marketplace area is outdoors it is quite compact, so to avoid crowding and traffic this measure is necessary. From the photo above, you can see that a barrier has been put in place, and a red floor marker has been added to instruct guests on where to stand as they await entry.
Many more of these floor markers can be found throughout the marketplace, as guests wait to visit the stores Toydarian Toymaker, the Creature Stall, Jewels of Bith and Black Spire Outfitters.
Kat Saka’s Kettle is currently closed.
Due to each store’s small size, only one party is permitted in each shop at any given time.
Hand sanitizer dispensers are available for guests to use prior to entry.
On the other side of the marketplace is Ronto Roasters restaurant. This quick-service dining location is currently operating as Mobile Order only, to prevent queues and crowding. Guests are only permitted to enter the establishment once their order shows up as “ready” on their device.
Thank you for visiting Black Spire Outpost Market with us today! Don’t forget to stay tuned to WDWNT for all the information on the reopening of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and more. To the spire!
