Last week, we got our first look at the boats that would be carrying characters around Disney’s Animal Kingdom, thanks to Walt Disney World president, Jeff Vahle. Now, we got to see some of the entertainment in-person as the boats made their way around Discovery River for the grand reopening of the park.
There are three official entertainment options that will cruise the river:
- “Donald’s Dino Boat Bash!”– Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Launchpad McQuack wave to guests from their party boat as “Donald’s Dino Bash!” moves from DinoLand U.S.A. to Discovery River.
- “Discovery River Character Cruise” – Throughout the day, guests can see Timon and Rafiki or Pocahontas with Meeko, who will set sail on the parks’ waterways.
- Discovery Island Drummers – These high-energy percussionists cruise along Discovery River, entertaining guests on the shore with an energetic beat.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom has always had exciting music entertainment and we’re glad they’ve found a way to keep that up with letting the Discovery Island Drummers play on riverboats!
The cruises around Discover River have been taking place around every ten to fifteen minutes, so that should give guests plenty of opportunities to stop and listen to the music!
