The extended closure of the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin to the public has deepened, now extended until July 29th.

Previously, it was announced that the resort wouldn’t be accepting any new reservations scheduled before July 29th, and now we’ve learned that those with preexisting reservations are being relocated for their stay.
The resort is shifting reservations before the 29th to the newly-opened JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek Resort and Spa at the same rate and room type. The resort just opened today and is in the process of welcoming the newly transferred guests. The resort is located near Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and offering a complimentary shuttle to the Walt Disney World theme parks. Both the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin are run by Marriott through their Westin Hotels & Resort brand. Do note that at this time, it is unclear whether the resort is participating in the Disney Park Pass system.
While the public may not be able to visit the Swan & Dolphin for most of July, the players of Major League Soccer will stay at the resort as they compete in their MLS is Back Tournament at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The tournament lasts from July 8th through August 11th.
