If you’re a chocolate lover, then you’ll want to pay a visit to Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop at Disney Springs. Thankfully, the Chocolate Shop portion of Ghirardelli has now reopened, so we took a look inside to see the new social distancing measures.
There are social distancing markers outside in case the queue gets too long. Cast Members stationed at the door make sure guests follow the rules.
The shop still had plenty of goodies lining the walls.
We noticed immediately there were social distancing markers at the register.
There was a hand sanitizing station near the entrance, and social distancing circles throughout the queue.
The front door is split into an entrance and exit.
A sign throughout the restaurant reminded guests to keep a six foot distance, wear a face covering, sanitize their hands, and not engage in unnecessary physical contact.
The registers were thoroughly protected with Plexiglass windows. Guests in the queue waited six feet back while the person at the register ordered.
Ghirardelli made several menu changes before Disney Springs reopened. Make sure you try out some of their newer creations, like the new Nacho Sundae and Gold Rush Sundae.
Thanks for following along with our tour. Do note that the customary free chocolate squares are not being handed out at this time. What’s your favorite Ghirardelli treat?
