“The Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah-Day” Splash Mountain Game Removed from Play Disney Parks App

After introducing the game to Play Disney Parks in May of 2019, Disney has quietly removed the Splash Mountain-themed interactive game, The Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah-Day, from the app.

Here’s how Disney Parks described the game back when it was first introduced:

Guests will find their laughing place as they play together through a series of Splash Mountain-themed mini-games featuring some woodland pals from the attraction. After completing these whimsical challenges, guests are rewarded with special photo frames to help them capture their memories. This experience is a great way to turn wait time into play time while waiting in line for the attraction, and it can also be played anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort!

The deletion of the game comes on the heels of the quiet removal of “Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah” from the Disneyland Resort music loops. Disney officials addressed the removal, saying the change was made due to a “continuous process to deliver…stories that are relevant and inclusive.”

App developers may have removed the game to align more with the revamping of Splash Mountain as it transforms into a The Princess and the Frog-themed attraction.

Only time will tell what takes the place of The Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah-Day, but hopefully there is a reimagined game in the future.

  1. Shucks! I thought the game was fun. I hope they make a new one to go with the new Princess and the Frog ride and that they make it able to play at home too!
