We’ve all been collectively on the edge of our seats for the past four years, waiting for The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, the new E-ticket attraction at Tokyo Disneyland to open. We were so close to the April 15th opening day when the COVID-19 extended closure shut down the park for over four months, and now there’s no set opening date. But we may be much, much closer to finding out an opening date, with Cast Member previews reportedly scheduled next month!
According to the anonymous Twitter user olc__cast, who reportedly works as a Cast Member, Cast Member previews for the New Fantasyland area have been scheduled for September 7th-10th. The quoted tweet is below.
Unlike Disney (and its Cast Members), the Oriental Land Company and their Cast Members are notoriously tight-lipped. Leaks rarely come out of backstage here. Nonetheless, if this is true, the Oriental Land Company may be very, very close to announcing a public opening of The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast and the surrounding New Fantasyland area. Construction was fully completed during the closure, according to OLC’s first quarter financial report, and the expansion is ready for open when conditions are right. You can check out our tour of the visible area from last month for more information.
