WDWNT’s Top 7 Disney Parks Photos of the Week (9/13/20)

Welcome to a new type of weekly roundup. We at WDWNT employ some great photographers who scour the parks and resorts around the world to show you the best there is. So each week, we will be rounding up the seven best images captured by our photographers, whether they made it into a story this week or not, and bringing them to you in a Weekly Recap just like we do with our story Weekly Recaps. So let’s dive right in to the seven best photos for the week of September 7 -13, 2020.

Magic Kingdom

Roy and Minnie relax in the morning sun on Main Street, U.S.A.

The volatile Florida summer weather makes a great cloud backdrop for Cinderella Castle.

This quiet moment with Sir Mickey’s in Fantasyland looks almost like it stepped out of a fairy tale.

What a shot! Here, the flag is waving majestically as it is flown at half-mast on September 11, 2020.

The new Lucite pylons in front of Spaceship Earth are sure to be a favorite photo prop for photographers of all kinds visiting EPCOT.

The fluffy-yet-darkening clouds make for a ominous sky in this artful shot of the France Pavilion.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Personal protective equipment changes the feel of the Cast Member interaction a bit on “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance” but it is worth it to keep everyone safe. Here, a couple are interrogated by the Empire guard to find the exact location of the Rebel base on their “Pizza Planet.”

We hope you enjoyed this Photo Weekly Recap. Since this is the first recap of its kind, let us know what you think. Leave a comment below and tell us if we should bring you more recaps just like this. And for more great photos, don’t miss our regular park photo reports from Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, and more.

  1. The the emptiness of the area in your Sir Mickey’s photo makes me really excited for our trip! I love it that we won’t have to deal with crowds as much as we have in the past. Also the picture of Roy and Minnie is a classic!

  2. Definitely a yes! More photo recaps would definitely be appreciated — I can’t get to the parks myself right now, and images like these are a great way to help me “remember the magic.”

  3. You should probably credit the photographers when you use their images. This site has no problem crediting the reporters for a story that is written for the site. It’s time to do the right thing and credit the photographers as well.

  4. Really, really like this new item. Look forward to seeing more!
