Things look good for those who want to return to “The Happiest Place on Earth.” Our recent visit to the entrance at Disneyland Park revealed new social distancing markings on the pavement. Recently, Disney, California Attractions and Parks Association, and Anaheim have all called upon Gov. Gavin Newsom to provide guidance to allow Disneyland to reopen.

We first noticed social distancing markings placed six feet apart from the turntsiles. Currently, all four parks at Walt Disney World use these markings to keep guests separated from each other in order to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.

A rumor recently floated that Gov. Newsom and Josh D’Amaro, Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman, filmed a video announcing a reopening. Sadly, Disney has not made the expected announcement.

Despite no formal announcement, the fact that Disney has set these markings in place leads us to believe that reopening soon approaches. It would be unlikely for Disneyland to implement social distancing procedures without having some guidance from the state.

  1. I am so ready for this to happen. My first ride would be the Haunted Mansion. The last time i went it was the nightmare before Christmas style which I don’t really care for.

Honesty, i don’t get the hold up on opening. Why not just make people show a negative Covid test before allowing them in? they can still make them wear the mask and socially distance.
