During their phased reopening, the Walt Disney World theme parks are not offering Souvenir Pick-Up or Resort Hotel Delivery, making shopping a potentially cumbersome endeavor if one is trying to purchase bulky or fragile items while trying to go about their park day. Thankfully, Windtraders at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is now offering a modified purchase hold service for guests to pick up their items later on in the day.

After completing your purchase, Windtraders now offers the option to hold your shopping bags for you while you continue your park day. You can return to the store at any point later in the day (before close, of course) to pick up your purchases. A double receipt is printed, one that gets affixed to the bag and one for you to keep so they can verify which bags are yours when you come back.

Items can not be sent to other stores or to the front of the park, so you do need to come back to the store to pick up your items at the end of the day. At this point, there is no established list of stores participating in this service, but Cast Members have informed us that the larger, more popular shops in each park will soon be participating in this new service.

Looking at the Walt Disney World Resort Guest Services webpage, Souvenir Pick-Up and Resort Hotel Delivery services are still listed, meaning they may be reinstated at the parks in the future, but for now, this modified Package Pick-Up service is a welcome respite from lugging around our precious souvenirs throughout our park days.
