BREAKING: Disney and Pixar’s “Soul” Streaming Exclusively on Disney+ December 25

After being repeatedly postponed, Disney and Pixar’s “Soul” will finally be released on Disney+ starting December 25, similar to the recent release for the live-action “Mulan” film.

The film will be available exclusively on Disney+, meaning it will not be heading to theaters. According to Variety, within international markets where Disney+ isn’t available, “Soul” will be released theatrically on a yet-to-be determined date.

Disney CEO Bob Chapek has even come forward with a statement regarding the movie’s new release date:

“We are thrilled to share Pixar’s spectacular and moving ‘Soul’ with audiences direct to Disney+ in December. A new original Pixar film is always a special occasion, and this truly heartwarming and humorous story about human connection and finding one’s place in the world will be a treat for families to enjoy together this holiday season.”

“Soul” will not require an extra fee from Disney+ subscribers, as it will be available as part of the regular lineup of movies on the streaming platform, unlike “Mulan” which was released at a $30 fee as a “Premier Access” offering.

  1. I was ready to pay extra for this one, but what the heck, happy to watch it as part of my Disney+ subscription!
