“Reimagined” Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Special and “Disney Holiday Singalong” Coming to ABC

ABC has announced their upcoming Disney holiday specials for November and December, including the “reimagined” Christmas Day celebration.

First up on November 30 will be The Disney Holiday Singalong, the third in the series of Disney Singalong specials. The Disney Family Singalong and The Disney Family Singalong: Volume II had a combined 22.3 million total viewers after 35 days. Performers and details for The Disney Holiday Singalong will be announced soon.

As for the annual Disney Parks Magical Christmas Day Celebration, this year’s special will look different. The special frequently features Walt Disney World’s Christmas parade, but no parades or nighttime spectaculars are currently operating. Disneyland Resort will also likely still be closed on Christmas. ABC says the special is going to be “reimagined”, probably with highlights from previous years and a few new segments.

  1. Well, you’re not going to see any Disney Cast Members performing–they’ve all been fired–but at least Fitz and the Tantrums and Dove Cameron can each “perform” in front of 40 spaced-out people in front of not-The-Great-Movie-Ride at DHS!

  2. I will not be watching! Since Disney’s fired all its cast members(most of them, anyway), I feel that the magic is gone.
