Hello from a beautiful day here at the Magic Kingdom! It was the perfect weather to throw on your favorite Spirit Jersey and head to the Most Magical Place On Earth, and we did just that! Let’s get started!

It seems like we’ve been starting every day with a construction update, but there’s a lot to keep tabs on these days! Work on the walkway connecting the Grand Floridian to the Magic Kingdom is coming along nicely, with the last stretch of walkway pavement being worked on daily. This section is very close to the Resort Monorail station.

Inside the park, four more legs of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover have been painted white in the last week, moving at a record pace.

Covers were added to the track at the construction zone for TRON Lightcycle Run, and more canopy pieces are being added to the assembled structure.

The Rivers of America continue to be drained, revealing the riverbed near Splash Mountain. No other refurbishment progress has been visible around this site.

In reopening news, we found two fan-favorite counter service locations that have been reserved for weekends only open today. Friar’s Nook and Westward Ho Refreshments were both slated to be open Friday through Sunday when they reopened, but they have both now officially moved to being open seven days a week! We can finally get corn dog nuggets or loaded tater tots any day of the week now.

We checked in at Sunshine Tree Terrace to see if the Headless Horseman Float had returned, but we were told that it is now sold out for the season. We had previously been told that it would return, but it seems the Horseman ran too far afield this time, and will not return this year. We were advised that if you want just the float and don’t mind not getting the straw, they can still make the float for you.

We saw Jack and Sally out on their Cavalcade today without Oogie Boogie. Sally carried an umbrella as it had started to sprinkle, and Jack was good enough to explain to us that “she melts when she gets wet” as they went by.

We found some fun new merchandise today around the park. First, while not new, but certainly in a new place, we found these Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique items across the street from their usual home at Sir Mickey’s. While the pink “Best Day Ever” ears have been available outside of the Boutique for some time, the umbrella, purse, and Spirit Jerseys are usually only sold within the Boutique itself.

We found several new Christmas ornaments, which seemed fitting, since a surprise drop of new Christmas merchandise was found this morning at a nearby resort. This Mickey ornament features the phrase “Top of the Naughty List”, and can be found at the Emporium for $26.99.

We found this coordinating Minnie ornament featuring the phrase “Top of the Nice List” also at the Emporium for $26.99.

Next were two beautiful 3D mirror effect ornaments, the first of which features Mickey Mouse carrying a lantern, and is available at the Emporium for $26.99.

The second ornament features a castle and the phrase “ The Most Magical Season of All”. This ornament is also available at the Emporium for $26.99.

Both of these ornaments feature the same back—a silver glitter snowflake with a Mickey head center.

The specialty phone cases released at the Annual Passholder Pop-Up Shop in the Germany Pavilion at EPCOT have been added to the catalog of customizable phone cases available through the MaDe kiosk. Annual Passholders can now add their name to their phone case and have it printed for them in their choice of phone size and style.

We found this adorable The Child “Baby Yoda” Open Edition pin at the Emporium today, jus the latest in what seems to be an extensive Open Edition pin release over the last few days at Walt Disney World. This pin is 3D, with a rubberized texture. It retails for $12.99.

After releasing on shopDisney just this morning, this new Limited Edition Enchanted Tales With Belle Series Wishables were released today in the Magic Kingdom. We found them at the Emporium and at Hundred Acre Goods.

Christmas may be creeping in, but it’s still spooky season at the Magic Kingdom! We’re holding on tight to these beloved Mickey pumpkins until the witching hour on Halloween.
