We’ve been watching Cool Wash and The Donut Box prepare for a delayed fall opening at this year’s Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. We saw more preparations at the kiosks today and Cast Members confirmed that they are hoping to reopen tomorrow, October 2.
Cool Wash has Plexiglass barriers in front of their two register stands.
The menu mentions assorted non-alcoholic Coca-Cola slushies, then lists a Frozen Coca-Cola with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey for $12 and a Frozen coca-Cola with St. Petersburg Distillery Oak and Palm Spiced Rum for $11.
There is a hand sanitizer dispenser next to the registers.
A tarp currently covers the back counter.
There are some scattered tables for eating and drinking while socially distanced.
Over at The Donut Box, there are plenty of social distancing markers on the ground.
These registers also have Plexiglass barriers.
The menu looks a little bit different from last year and we can’t wait to try everything.
You can read our reviews for Cool Wash and The Donut Box from last year’s Food & Wine Festival, and watch this space for our updated reviews when they reopen!
They did reopen- we bought a blue raspberry slushy – it was $6 and now being served in a plastic cup shaped like a sno cone ?? Can’t set it down and it was a fraction of what you used to get in the normal cup shape.
Tastes good though and nice on a hot day. However, I can say that I won’t be willing to buy another one for that price. I’d rather spend the money on festival treats or Joffrey’s iced coffee.
