There’s always something to see at the construction site of TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom. Construction continues on the roller coaster’s canopy, which is being installed one piece at a time.

Some scaffolding has been removed from the right-hand building visible from the Monorail.

The show buildings are almost completely covered in blue and white paneling.

From this vantage point, we can also see the giant red crane that’s on the other side of the construction site.

It doesn’t look like there has been significant progress (if any) on the canopy pieces currently sitting on the ground in the construction site.

As we reported last time, additional supports have been added by the track to prepare for more canopy installation. This was where workers were focused today.

A few workers were visible at the top of the support structure, while others were on the small building below.

An additional horizontal piece has been added to the upper left of the support structure since we last checked in.

A wooden platform and railings were removed from around the lower building next to the track.

White tarp remains on a stretch of the coaster leading into The Grid show building.

With more and more supports being erected, it’s likely more of the illuminated canopy will be installed soon.

From the Tomorrowland Speedway, we had an even better view of the cranes above the track.

These reddish-brown supports are temporary while the canopy is installed. Ultimately, the canopy will be supported by white cement supports that blend in with the track better.

The structure crosses over the track. A curved white piece of canopy that has already been installed is visible to the right.

  1. I’m really looking forward to this ride but that building is UGLY and seems so out of place at Disney. SO SQUARE!
