After being closed for almost seven months, ABC Commissary has reopened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with brand new menu items.
Though not listed on the outside menu, guests can mobile order Frozen Apple Cider and the Box of Bones Chocolate Éclair, which debuted at Backlot Express in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Both of these items are only available for the Halloween season.
Guests waiting for their mobile order are directed to this partially covered area with socially distanced dots.
Once your mobile order is ready, you check in with the Cast Member at the entrance and head on in.
Inside, there are hand sanitizer dispensers and more social distancing markers.
Most of the registers are closed for mobile order pick-up.
Unlike other quick-service restaurants, Plexiglass has not been installed at the registers or counters.
Cast Members have taken over the usually self-service drinks.
Seating on the left-hand side of the restaurant is open and Cast Members are directing guests to seats. Seating on the right-hand side is closed.
Self-service cutlery and condiments are available.
Bench seating is all unavailable.
Let’s take a closer look at the new entrées.
Curry Rice Bowl with Shrimp – $13.99
Sautéed Shrimp and Vegetables tossed with Red Curry Sauce served with Jasmine Coconut Rice
The first bite of this blew us away. The dish is amazing.
It’s flavorful, but not overly spicy. The curry is on point.
The veggies weren’t overcooked, surprisingly. Tender enough to soak up all of the curry flavors while still maintaining some crunch.
The rice was perfect, it was soft and fluffy.
The shrimp was cooked perfectly. It wasn’t chewy, it was just the right texture.
This is definitely the star of the new menu. For those sensitive to spice, it may be a bit much, but we thought it was delicious—especially for a shrimp dish at a counter service.
Pork Carnitas Tacos – $10.99
Pork Carnitas on Flour Tortillas topped with Salsa Verde, Pickled Onion, and Radish served with Mexican Rice and Black Beans topped with Queso Fresco
There was a nice balance of flavors with the radishes, pickled onion, and salsa verde. There was also a small avocado garnish. It was a good street-style taco.
The pork was a little dry, but it tasted good.
The black beans were delicious, and tasted fresh. They weren’t too mushy, and were seasoned and salted to perfection.
The rice was really good as well, with a mild flavor that made it a good side. Both the rice and beans were a perfect compliment to the tacos.
Overall, this was a really nice dish. It was a pleasant surprise from somewhere we would have expected to find chicken fingers and burgers.
Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich – $10.99
Grilled Sourdough toasted with Buffalo Chicken, Monterey, Provolone, Cheddar, and Cream Cheese served with a side of Buffalo Sauce and your choice of Side
The bread of this grilled cheese was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
There were large chunks of chicken in the cheese and some Buffalo seasoning, but it also comes with a cup of Buffalo sauce so you can spice it up to your liking.
It’s a really tasty grilled cheese sandwich and isn’t spicy at all if you don’t use the sauce, so don’t worry if you can’t take too much heat.
Arugula-Farro Salad – $3.79
We ordered this side item with our grilled cheese sandwich. The greens were fresh and crisp, and came dressed in an oil vinaigrette.
The pecans, apples, and cranberries all seemed to be marinated together, so they were soft, but still retained their own characteristics.
It was a great salad and we highly recommend it for its light, refreshing flavor.

Not the type of food I would enjoy . Will not eat there.
