The Wave and Kona Cafe Add Mobile Order Option to My Disney Experience

As we saw with Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge last month, select table-service restaurants around Walt Disney World are introducing a “to go” or mobile order option to My Disney Experience. The next two restaurants to add a mobile order option are The Wave… of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

When you search for one of these restaurants in the My Disney Experience app, you will see a “to go” option. Once you click on it, you’ll be able to view the mobile order menu and meal times.

If the restaurant is open, you’ll then be able to choose an arrival window and build your order. Your food is then made and will be ready to pick up when you return during your arrival window.

For now, this service is only available at these select hotel restaurants. Some also have a mobile waitlist option, if you want to sit down to order but also want to avoid crowding at the check-in counter.

Have you tried mobile ordering from Sanaa, The Wave, or Kona? Let us know about your experience in the comments below.

  1. It’s not an “option.” Its a requirement. We went to have breakfast at Kona Cafe. I was forced by the hostess to check-in with the mobile device. I didn’t want to but she said it was a requirement. I scan the QR code and click the link. It won’t let me check in. Nope. Before I continue , I have to change the settings in my phone-specifically , I have to enable the GPS! Why do I have to enable the GPS???? Im here- I SCANNED THE QR CODE AT THE RESTAURANT, DIDNT I?

Im too annoyed now to even think about “enjoying” a breakfast.
