Magic Kingdom

- With refurbishments beginning soon on the Liberty Square Riverboat, Tom Sawyer Island, and across the way, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, things are going to get rough around the back end of Magic Kingdom as they work to drain the Rivers of America to complete the refurbishments
- More of the illuminated canopy structure has been installed on the TRON Lightcycle / Run track at Magic Kingdom and while rumors indicate the project is severely delayed, progress continues solely on the canopy
EPCOT
- Official dates have been set for next year’s modified Festival of the Arts at EPCOT—aptly renamed the “Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts” — from January 8 to February 22, 2021
- After multiple headlines were made regarding the impact of the COVID-19 closure and the subsequent legal battle, Walt Disney World will officially be assuming operations of all Morocco Pavilion businesses at EPCOT, including all food & beverage and merchandise locations
Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort will be reopening on February 9, 2021, reservations are now available
- Guests can now modify or cancel Disney Resort hotel reservations right up until the date of check-in through the end of April next year as Walt Disney World has extended its Flexible Cancellation Policy through April 30, 2021
- Disney has just announced a number of great resort hotel deals for 2021. From January through mid-April all guests get up to 35% off per night on select rooms, Annual Passholders get up to 40% off per night on select rooms, and Florida residents get up to 35% off per night on select rooms
- We’ve been watching the removal of crossbeams from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort roof for almost two weeks and now over half of the crossbeams are gone from the iconic structure

- The new Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge trailer just dropped, and it has us even more excited for the ILMxLAB virtual reality experience coming November 19
Disneyland Resort

- Under the reopening guidelines released yesterday, it could take several months for the California theme parks to be able to reopen, meaning Disneyland could be shuttered well into 2021, so Disneyland—alongside other major theme parks—is considering legal action against the state

- Disney has finally released the first official teaser trailer for Raya and The Last Dragon, coming to theaters in March 2021
Universal Studios
Universal Orlando Resort

- “Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration” nighttime spectacular is currently slated for an October 24 showing, marking the return of nighttime spectaculars to even more of the major Central Florida theme parks.
- Universal Studios Florida has extended their hours this upcoming Saturday and Sunday, with the park now opening at 8:00 AM and closing at 10:00 PM, and Universal’s Islands of Adventure opening at 8:00 AM on both days and closing at 10:00 PM on Sunday
Universal Studios Hollywood
- After a news conference held by NBC LA today in which theme park leaders from Disneyland Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood, Legoland, and more admonished Governor Newsom’s strict theme park reopening guidelines, Universal Studios Hollywood President Karen Irwin stated that the park is exploring reopening with food and retail only
