The accident occurred on November 18, 2018. Palus claims that Disney Cruise Line did not provide a reasonably safe work environment. Among his specific complaints are inadequate work space and a lack of non-heated work surfaces. In all, the lawsuit names 25 examples of the unsafe work environment.

The lawsuit also alleges that Disney Cruise Line did not provide a safety manual and that Palus did not receive proper care after the accident.

Palus is demanding disability pay and all entitled damages.

It has been a rough year for Disney Cruise Line. Sailings were discontinued shortly after the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Disney Cruise Line recently canceled all sailings through December 2020.

  1. Regardless of business conditions at this time, all employers are responsible for the safety of their workers. Disney should be held to account if liable.
