PHOTOS: New Wait Time Sign Installed, Plus Additional Work on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Marquee and the France Pavilion Expansion at EPCOT

Bonjour again! While signs point to a 2021opening, we don’t know exactly when Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and the France Pavilion expansion will finally open at EPCOT… but like a bicyclist at the Tour de France, work is racing to the finish line. Let’s take a look!

As we headed out on the Disney Skyliner, we noticed that there were a lot of orange cones lining the small brick courtyard off the expansion entrance.

There was also a large red hose hooked up to what could be a power washer. If they’re looking to clean up, could they be getting ready for guests?

Looking down the street, we can see that the cones stretch to the start of the first building on the left.

Hopefully, not too long from now, this will be teeming with guests, and it’ll never look this empty again.

More construction workers could be found by the large canopy next to the Remy fountain.

There are switchbacks underneath this canopy, which will be used as overflow queueing for the attraction.

Meanwhile, a cherry picker was in front of the marquee for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, while a worker sat on top of the awning.

On our way back to EPCOT, we can see the backstage area is nearly clear of equipment.

Meanwhile, the restrooms look ready to go, at least from the outside. (Those’ll come in handy after eating one crepe too many from La Crêperie de Paris.)

The paving on the walkway looks nicely worn in.

The weathering on some of this paint really makes this feel like a lived-in neighborhood. It’s touches like that which make the Disney Parks special.

As we approach the station, we can see the progress on what will become the expansion entrance.

It’s not easy to see, but you may notice the back of a sign on the right hand side, just below the entrance arch. That’s going to be a secondary Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure wait time sign that should help manage crowds once the attraction opens.

It’s rumored that the expansion’s opening date might be revealed as early as next week as part of D23’s Fantastic Worlds Celebration, though a recent job listing indicates that it could be sometime in early 2021. Keep reading WDWNT as we continue to cover this ongoing story.

It looks like the area is going to be open right for the Hollidays (Maybe no the ride though)
