VIDEO: Every Christmas Holiday Cavalcade, Photo Op, and Character Experience at the Magic Kingdom for 2020
The holidays have arrived at the Magic Kingdom, bringing along plenty of fun and entertainment! Whether you like characters or seasonal music, there’s plenty to enjoy, so we thought we’d share a full video tour of what’s being offered at the park this year.
Characters in their holiday finery greets at the Main Street, U.S.A. train station. Mickey, Minnie and Pluto are joined by other friends and characters rarely seen at the park, including Geppetto, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Peter Pan, Wendy, Mary Poppins, and Bert, all dressed in their outfits from Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Though they may not be sharing their take on “Great Moments in American History”, the Muppets have returned to Liberty Square to take pictures with guests. Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Sam the Eagle, and a couple of chickens appear sporadically dressed in outfits for the season. And because these are the Muppets after all, they can’t help but be funny. It’s truly a Muppet family Christmas!
When they’re not waving to guests at the train station, you can see Mickey, Minnie, and more friends at Mickey’s Holiday Cavalcade. The world’s most famous mice appear on a Christmas tree float, while beloved characters in holiday outfits including Donald and Daisy Duck, Pinocchio, Winnie the Pooh and Piglet dance around them. You can check out the full experience in the video below!
Not to be outdone, Goofy gets a celebration of his own in Goofy’s Scrumptious Cavalcade. Decked out in his chef’s outfit, he waves to guests along with his pal Clarabelle Cow in a mini-parade that also features dancers and gingerbread men. It’s one sweet experience to watch!
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit from good old Saint Nick! Santa’s Christmas Cavalcade brings the man of the hour to the Magic Kingdom, along with his reindeer and elves leading the way. You can get a dose of jolliness in the video below!
If you’re looking to make the Nice List this year, always let your conscience be your guide! Take it from Jiminy Cricket, who greets guests in his holiday outfit from the balcony of Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland.
The Disney Princesses welcome the season in a holiday-themed edition of The Royal Princess Processional, which features the characters on specially-decorated floats, with some wearing outfits for the occasion. You can spot Merida, Tiana, Belle, Rapunzel, Ariel, Elena of Avalor, Snow White, Cinderella, and the Fairy Godmother in the video below!
Those mischievous chipmunks, Chip and Dale, couldn’t resist decking the halls… or in this case, the archway between Frontier Mercantile and the Country Bear Jamboree in Frontierland. You can catch a little of their antics in the video below!
The park’s iconic barbershop quartet have sprinkled in some holiday classics into their repertoire, including “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” You can check out a few of their yuletide tunes as they ride the trolley around Main Street, U.S.A. in the video below!
Would it be the holidays at the Magic Kingdom without the Toy Soldiers? You can watch a platoon of them march through the park with the Main Street Philharmonic as they play “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and “Deck the Halls” in this video!
Even though there aren’t fireworks, we can still enjoy the sights of the season as Cinderella Castle gets special projections at night, including festive stripes and dots, a Christmas sweater design, winter jewels, and a regal red, green and gold look. You can see the full lineup in our video!
