PHOTOS: Construction Begins on Innoventions East Remodel at EPCOT

While we’ve been focused on the demolition of Innoventions West, it seems construction has begun inside the building that once housed Innoventions East at EPCOT.

Now that the former interior of the pavilion has been gutted, there appears to be some new wall structures inside. A construction vehicle is parked out front.

There were workers on the roof of the building and on the Mouse Gear side.

A large chunk of the roof overhang is missing, and it’s likely the entire overhang will be removed. This same building also housed Electric Umbrella. Once complete, it will be home to a new Starbucks location and a quick-service restaurant.

Eventually, this section of the park will be the World Celebration neighborhood as pictured in the concept art above. The grey-roofed building to the left is approximately what the current Innoventions East building will eventually look like.

Keep checking WDWNT for more updates about EPCOT construction.
