EPCOT’s ongoing transformation has left a tale of two Innoventions: work on the massive refurbishment of Innoventions East continues to move along, while Innoventions West has been stripped down to its bare bones.

The classic roof panels belie the major changes going on at Innoventions East.

Previously, we noted the support structures going into place, and now, we can see that on the side near the future site of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, little has changed since November.

Sadly, the dent in the roof has yet to be fixed, adding to the theory that these panels may also be removed.

It looks like there’s still some more work to be done before the structure can come down.

Meanwhile, the southernmost part of the building has had most of its roofing ripped off.

A small section of green panels remain, foreshadowing the coming of the “Journey of Water” attraction as well as the festival area that will replace the pavilion.
