The latest holiday cupcake now available at Walt Disney World is a gingerbread cupcake at BoardWalk Bakery.
BoardWalk Bakery also has a gingerbread martini and a few other holiday treats if you’re looking for seconds.
Though the gingerbread cupcake is not listed on the displayed holiday menu, we were still able to order it.
Gingerbread Cupcake – $6.99
This cupcake is vanilla flavored with a gingerbread man cookie lying on the “snowy” white frosting. It’s as big as it is adorable.
The frosting was light and fluffy, and not as sickly sweet as most Disney cupcakes we’ve had.
The cake was incredibly moist, almost wet, but in a good way. It was fresh and well-made. The filling was slightly grainy, but still tasty with a soft gingerbread flavor.
The gingerbread man on top was spongy and also delicately flavored. Overall, it was a delicious cupcake. The flavor wasn’t strong, but it also wasn’t overpowering.
