It’s still chilly outside — well, as chilly as Florida gets — but it’s already time to start thinking about the warmer months and the return of water parks. Disney has quietly announced the operating hours for Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park upon its reopening, March 7, 2021.
From March 7 – 20, 2021, Blizzard Beach will operate from 11 am – 6 pm.
It was announced last month that Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park would be reopening March 7. But since then, Disney has been mum to any other details. Details such as how the new health and safety procedures would be implemented. Now, the park operating hours have been posted on Disney’s Blizzard Beach calendar with neither pomp nor circumstance. The only mention of the health and safety procedures comes in the form of a red-lettered message on the homepage:
Like the other areas of Walt Disney World Resort, we will welcome back Guests and Cast Members to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park in a responsible way, with a plan focused on health and well-being. We will provide more details on our Water Parks’ reopening plan at a later time.
This year marks the 25th season for Disney’s Blizzard Beach, as the park first opened to the public on April 1, 1995. Welcoming guests back to celebrate this milestone year is surely going to be a special occasion. Doubly so after such a long shutdown.
And while Disney’s Blizzard Beach will be reopening to the public this Spring, no official announcement has been made regarding the reopening of its sister water park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.
