Greetings, World Travelers, and welcome to a fun-filled day at EPCOT! We had an exciting start to the day, and finished things out at the Magic Kingdom with more news-worthy finds. We have a lot to share with you, so let’s get started!
We started off the day with a bang by finding the second large barge for Harmonious having been put into place overnight on World Showcase Lagoon. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
While admiring the new barge on the Lagoon, we came across the new buildings in the Italy Pavilion, which we saw being delivered yesterday, having also been installed overnight. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
While making our rounds around the park, we found the menu returned to normal at L’Arte di Mangiare after yesterday’s temporary removal of the Arancini. Today everything is available on the menu.
We also found Anna back in her traditional meet and greet spot in the Norway Pavilion, instead of off to the side in the grass. We’re glad she’s back in this lovely setting!
We found some fun new merchandise in the park today. The first new piece was this kitchen towel featuring a poison apple and the phrase “Just One Bite”. We found this piece at Mouse Gear for $19.99.
Next, we found this adorable ceramic Chip mug complete with ceramic spoon. Chip is blowing bubbles in his tea, and the handle of the spoon is bubbles too! This cup is also at Mouse Gear for $22.99.
We found this fun park icons Loungefly wallet, a matching piece to this mini backpack also by Loungefly, today at Port of Entry. We love completing the set! This wallet retails for $50.00.
It was an exciting day for special merchandise too, as we found this Limited Edition MagicBand for Valentine’s Day featuring Simba and Nala from “The Lion King” and the phrase “We Are One”. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
Lastly, our favorite find of the day, we found these Annual Passholder exclusive Minnie ears at Mouse Gear featuring a stunning blue and gold Passholder medallion in the center of the bow. These ears retails for $29.99. For more pictures, see our article here.
On our way out of the park, we took a moment to appreciate the flag flying at half-staff for the incident at the U.S. Capitol over the weekend.
Next, we headed to the Magic Kingdom, where we found the Christmas decorations had all been removed.
Main Street, USA almost looks bare after being festooned with such large decorations for so long.
We checked in on some construction projects here as well, including the recently closed Liberty Square Market. This location is slated to be refurbished.
Nearby, we found significant progress had been made at Harper’s Mill. The exterior wood had been completely replaced on the structure, and the wire framing at the base had been covered with fresh concrete.
Upon checking menus, we found that Powdered Cinnamon-Sugar Doughnut Holes had been added to the dessert menu at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. These doughnut holes seem similar to the ones served during breakfast over the holiday season at several locations across Magic Kingdom.
Since Liberty Square Market is now closed, a new refreshments stand has opened up nearby, serving Turkey Legs, beverages, and ice cream.
We found some new merchandise at the Magic Kingdom as well, including new Marvel-themed Valentine’s Day MaDe items in the kiosk in Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.
The phone cases and the MagicBands are customizable. Phone cases start at $29.99, MagicBands start at $24.99, and Magnets are $14.99.
Next, we found this adorable hat featuring Mickey and Minnie making a heart with their hands, perfect for Valentine’s Day, at Fantasy Faire for $27.99.
We had two finds at Frontier Trading Post, including this pastel yellow open edition MagicBand for $14.99.
Also at Frontier Trading Post was the first pin in the brand new Limited Edition “Where Fantasy Grows” Disney Terrarium Series. This one features Bambi and Flower touching noses, and retails for $19.99.
We found some unexpected merchandise today at The Emporium with this runDisney Spirit Jersey and Tervis set. The race has gone virtual this year, but apparently we still get a little bit of merchandise. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We spotted some ducklings swimming with their parents in the moat near Tomorrowland today. These are the first ducklings we’ve seen for the year, and we’re so excited they’re here!
We found Ariel greeting guests outside of Princess Fairytale Hall this afternoon. It was certainly a pleasant surprise to see her here!
On our way out, we found the Monorail had been outfitted with special plastic dividers, allowing two parties to sit per bench. For more pictures and information, check out our article here.
We caught a glimpse of Cinderella Castle on our way out right at dusk, partially lit of up but also naturally illuminated. We can never get enough of this beautiful park icon!
We had a wonderful day at EPCOT and the Magic Kingdom, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
