As we learned it would last year, the Big Blue Pool at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is now closed for refurbishment.

The adjacent School Yard Spray Ground is still open, and the Cozy Cone and Flippin Fins pools in other areas of the resort are still open.

The pool has been completely drained.

Tents were up to offer construction workers shade while they work. It looked like some of them were doing routine cleaning.

The jellyfish structures at one end of the pool are wrapped in plastic to keep them protected.

The handles for getting in and out of the pool were also wrapped.

There were plenty of vacuums scattered around the area, and light fixtures pulled out of the pool walls.

The Big Blue Pool is scheduled to be closed through early April 2021. Keep checking WDWNT for updates.
