The new coaster towers over Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom.
Most of the canopy framework is complete and visible throughout Tomorrowland and Storybook Circus.
Workers in high reaches have been securing sections of the canopy in the past few days.
The newest pieces are close to the show building.
The criss-crossing white framework reaches above the track, but has yet to be completed on the other side.
The show building is sealed from the elements while interior construction halts. Though construction continues on the illuminated canopy, the attraction is so delayed it will not open in time for Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary later this year.
The canopy is currently held in place by temporary supports.
The remaining pieces of the framework are staged in the construction site nearby.
Construction workers were preparing a piece to be lifted while we were taking photos.
The piece is not white, so not part of the canopy framework, but might be an additional support.
Much of the coaster’s track is protected by orange tarp.
Metal pieces have been added to the framework throughout, likely where sections connect.
