President Trump Includes Walt Disney Statue in “National Garden of American Heroes” List

President Trump has signed an executive order for a “National Garden of American Heroes” which would include a Walt Disney statue. Reporter Andrew Solender shared the list on Twitter.

The long list includes individuals who have “been chosen for embodying the American spirit of daring and defiance, excellence and adventure, courage and confidence, loyalty and love.” Each famous American would get a statue in this proposed garden. You’ll find Walt Disney’s name in the middle of the first page.

Other Disney-adjacent names you might recognize include Steve Jobs, Shirley Temple, and Alexander Hamilton.

Meh, we’d prefer healthcare like the rest of the developed world.

our healthcare is an intricate, complicated mess not so easily fixed by an executive order like this… maybe find some joy in life and at least be happy with this nice plan and not bring your socialist anger into everything. I’m glad they’re implementing this with a tribute to Walt Disney.

@Kyra, It’s hard to find joy in life, when one gets cancer & it’s easy for insurance companies to say YAY it’s pre-existing condition you’re screwed. And now after death , surviving family members are facing unpaid bills. (Oh yes they just don’t disappear since the patient died)

Abdul, I’m sorry for your loss first of all. But secondly, I have begun working and have been volunteering for a while in the healthcare field…as painful and difficult as it is, that is all the more reason TO find joy in life and in the little things like this statue dedication. Life is not guaranteed, find happiness where you can. I think you really missed the whole point of what I commented and brought in a very unrelated subject unfortunately. Again, so sorry for your loss as I’m suffering one currently as well from cancer. It’s not easy, but… Read more »

Kyra,
lol, Thank you for your kind words, but i didn’t lose anybody, i was just highlighting the plight of the millions with pre-existing conditions that would be better off under government healthcare like Canada, UK , Australia.

That’s a straight up lie. An executive order under Section 1881A of the Social Security Act could be accomplished without Congress. I’m sure you’re getting joy out of life over statues because you already have health insurance, but you should really have empathy for other people. Over 40,000 Americans die every year because of lack of health insurance, and the US is the richest country in the world.

I’m sure Biden will be acting on Donny’s “Garden of American Heroes as answered on Family Feud” just as soon as he gets a minute…

Disneyland park needs to be rescued and made a historical site. It’s about the only thing that will save it from total destruction.

Disneyland won’t die, even if it has to sit around for a long time. Some day, it will be revived, sooner or later.

I thought the garden sounded like a [rare] neat idea. Glad Walt will be included!

Steve Jobs? I thought he’s a real jerk or something. But I’m glad that Walt is being recognized.
