REVIEW: Upgrade Your French Fries with NEW Lobster Poutine at Refreshment Port for the 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Arts

During the food festivals at EPCOT, additional permanent locations around the park will add a specialty item or beverage to their usual lineup of offerings. Last year for the Festival of the Arts, the Refreshment Port served a favorite item of ours, Lobster Chips. This year, it’s become Lobster Poutine, so let’s see if these lobster-laden fries are good their predecessors.

The poutine was a great value given the price and portion size. It had generous amounts of large lobster chunks, which tasted great. The lobster bisque cheese sauce and citrus cream gave it a great balance of salty and savory.

The fries themselves were nothing special, merely a vessel for the other ingredients. It’s worth noting that the chip version of this was much easier to eat versus the current French fry version.

*NEW* Barrel of Monks Brewing Raspberry Beret, Boca Raton, FL (5.5% ABV) – $9.75

From correspondence with Barrel of Monks’ owner and Director of Operations Kevin Abbott, Raspberry Beret is “a clean and refreshing Belgian White Ale with hints of orange & coriander made even more complex with the addition of a ton of raspberry goodness. Raspberry Beret is light and bubbly with just a hint of crisp tartness on the finish.  This beer is dry and drinkable with the perfect balance of fruitiness and classic Belgian White flavors.”

Spottswoode Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley, CA ($41/bottle) – $12.00

Spottswoode Estate Vineyard and Winery describes their Sauvignon Blanc as “rich and powerful, built on a backbone of great acidity. The nose jumps out of the glass with vibrant Meyer lemon, pink grapefruit, white peach, pears, and nectarines. The mouth is taut yet nicely textured, with creamy guava, lemon curd, and a wonderful blend of fruitiness, wet stone minerality, and a structure that persists in a very long and salivating finish.”
