Guests at headed to the Magic Kingdom today are receiving push notifications from My Disney Experience indicating that Space Mountain is currently unavailable.
The message comes from Jason Kirk, Vice President of Magic Kingdom park. Cast Members are working diligently to get the attraction back up and running again, but between the PeopleMover still under refurbishment and Space Mountain temporarily unavailable, two of the land’s headlining attractions are now unavailable.
Across the park, Peter Pan’s Flight in Fantasyland and Splash Mountain in Frontierland are also unavailable to guests as of 12:00 PM.
Recently, My Disney Experience has also multiple push notifications for other unexpected attraction downtimes, such as Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We’ll update this post once the attraction returns to operation, so stay tuned!
Wow! That’s a lot of headliner attractions down, on top of no fireworks, parades, shows & characters; is it worth the money?
These things happen. However, for the price of admission, the shortened hours and the many ride closures makes a person consider the many different Orlando Options. Very Sad but True
