The official Twitter account for The Muppets has teased an upcoming “major and important Muppet announcement.”
There are no hints as to what the big announcement will be, with the tweet ending “What is it? We have no idea.”
It’s possible the announcement is regarding a new show or film. There has not been a new Muppets film since Muppets Most Wanted in 2014. Recently, “Muppets Now” has premiered on Disney+ and a cut scene from “The Muppet Christmas Carol” was added back in the film’s 4K remaster. Keep checking WDWNT for updates.

My wife and I LOVE the Muppets. We’re up for a new Muppets movie. Also – a new Muppets TV show on broadcast TV where we can see it.
I grew up with the OGs Jim Henson, Frank Oz, Jerry Nelson and Richard Hunt and now my son loves them as much as I do!!!

I hope that they are making a new film or TV series. Muppets Now wasn’t very good so I hope their next project serves the Muppets better.
Maybe The Muppets take over the Hall of Presidents in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
