The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover might finally be reopening this week at Magic Kingdom.
The PeopleMover has been closed since March, even before the parks closed due to COVID-19. Refurbishment is planned to come to an end on January 9, so the attraction could reopen on January 10.
We have spotted workers on the PeopleMover track several times in the past few months.
The supports surrounding the track have been completely repainted and the train cars have been reconnected.
Are you excited to ride the PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom again for the first time in almost a year? Let us know in the comments!

I sure hope it’s opening again soon. I’m not sure I’ve ever actually been on it before! I would like to make it a part of my trip in September. Fingers crossed!
About time they open it back up! To the PeopleMover Nation, see you there, we are coming back!
So happy about this! PeopleMover was the very first ride my husband, daughter, mother, and I got on our first trip when we ran into the Magic Kingdom just before closing. The next year when we brought my brother for the first time, it was his first ride as well. So many wonderful memories and a huge part of every trip. Sadly missed in July!
I cannot WAIT to have this open again! 😀
HOORAY! My wife and I love the PeopleMover!
Awwwwwyea. As long as you keep the PeopleMover moving smoothly I’ll only just side eye the temporary abandonment of construction for Tron.
