Disney Website Now Lists Contemporary Resort Room Remodel Project, Still Silent on Possible “The Incredibles” Themed Rooms

Disney has officially announced that portions of the Contemporary Resort will be closed for refurbishment beginning in April of this year. The refurbishments will be focused on reimagining some of the rooms in the main tower.

Permits for this construction were filed back in January, and construction is expected to last until September of this year.

As stated on the Walt Disney World website:

“Starting in April 2021, Disney’s Contemporary Resort will begin a refurbishment to reimagine Guest rooms. While some Main Tower rooms will be unavailable during the refurbishment, most resort areas and amenities will still be available for Guests to enjoy.”

Information has not been disclosed on exactly what type of refurbishment these rooms will receive. In 2019, test rooms were produced at the Contemporary with an Incredibles theme, perhaps giving us some insight on what could take place during this reimagining. You may also recall a hard to believe rumor we shared about The Wave becoming The Incredibles Steakhouse, which wasn’t as hard to believe once those test rooms showed up.

What would you like to see in these soon-to-be refurbished rooms? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
