Welcome to a beautiful day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. It’s an exciting time to be here with all the Mardi Gras festivities in full swing. Let’s see what’s new around the parks today.
We started our day over at Islands of Adventure first. Let the adventure begin!
Inside the Port of Entry Christmas Shoppe, we discovered something new behind the registers that looked a little familiar. One of the props from the first room of the Holiday Tribute Store has found a new home here in the Christmas store at the front of the park. We’re always excited to see props repurposed.
In Toon Lagoon, the detonator piece that was missing has returned to the hush-a-bomb.
You know it’s not busy in the park when the line for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure doesn’t stretch into the Lost Continent.
Over at Universal Studios Florida, we were ready to enjoy some of the delicious Mardi Gras food. We stopped into the Germany tasting booth and discovered a new item has been added to the menu. In addition to the vegan bratwurst, the booth now has a meat bratwurst. This is one of our favorite booths from the festival, and you can’t go wrong with either. Stay tuned for our full review of the new bratwurst.
Not only have we found new items, but we noticed a few price drops. The Muffaletta Sandwich and Cuban Sandwich have both been reduced in price, but the portion size remains the same.
Some booths, such as Trinidad/Tobago, don’t have much of a line. You can read our full review of the disappointing menu here.
There is so much entertainment around the park, even on the weekdays. We love this modified version of Mardi Gras!
The crowds aren’t bad today, but we think this weekend will be very busy!
That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for joining us around the parks today and be sure to keep following for all the latest updates!
