To prepare for the 50th anniversary of Magic Kingdom, the entrances to Walt Disney World property are being reimagined to match Cinderella Castle. Currently, workers are painting the Osceola Parkway entrance archway and making fast work of it.
Work has yet to move across the street to Goofy’s sign.
Minnie’s sign on the right is complete, so work has moved to Mickey on the other side. The other half of the road’s lanes have been closed off.
The entire arch has now been painted royal blue, as well as the background on Mickey’s sign.
The columns are all gray and the accents are a new shade of gold.
Once complete, new flags will be added along the top of the arch. The lettering will also be painted completely white.
The Western Way and Hotel Plaza Boulevard entrances have both already been completely repainted.
Eventually, all of the Walt Disney World entrances will resemble the above concept art. How do you feel about the new look? Let us know in the comments.
I don’t really like it, I feel like it’s to commercial. Between this and taking away the magic express it seems someone at the top cares more about business than Walts true vision. Thumbs down 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
