PHOTOS: Giant Character Pages Under Refurbishment at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort

Last year, we learned that Disney’s Art of Animation Resort would undergo extensive enhancements. It started with remodels of the rooms and suites during the resort’s seven-month Covid-related closure; and, as we reported last month, they have begun the refurbishment of the Big Blue Pool in the Finding Nemo section of the resort.

Today, we went down to check out some of the work being done outside the resort’s main building, Animation Hall.

As you can see, the artist sketch pages which decorate the building are being “erased.”

See that first page? Lightning McQueen once adorned that page, but you wouldn’t know that if you hadn’t seen it before.

Ariel’s image is in the process of being removed as well.

Nemo’s page seems to be intact. For now.

What do you think they’re doing with these pages? Adding new drawings? Refreshing the old ones? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!

What do I think they’re doing with these pages?

Changing them to sauce packets for the new Hooray for Heintz re-theme.
